New Beanie…

Photo 4

I just love my new beanie that I bought on Wednesday!  I’m not usually a compulsive buyer, but I’ve been wanting a new beanie for quite sometime now and when I stumbled upon this one in a sweet little boutique I instantly feel in love.  The color was what caught my eye, but the price is what made the final decision… $10 bucks!  I know, I know, I could hardly believe it either. What made it even better, was that I had one of those Visa Gift Cards, so I justified the purchase.  Well, I better get to making dinner.  Ron will be home soon! Tickles, RobbieLee

One Year Ago…

100_4601

This photo was taken one year ago and it was Frankie Li’s (dog) First Christmas!  Brutus, our cat, was showing her the ropes.  This year, we will be celebrating Tucker Bean’s First Christmas (below)!  So exciting!  Happy Holidays!

26 Candles…

Blogpost_26BirthdayThat’s right, today I turn 26 years old and I can’t believe it.  The pictures above are from my very special Birthday Dinner at Carrabba’s Italian Restaurant.  My mom and brother treated me to my favorite soup and shrimp scampi, then my mom made a decedent Hummingbird cake with 3 layers of pure heaven and brought it to the restaurant!  It was great!  There were actually 26 candles on that cake and after making my wish and blowing out the flames, I thought the smoke detectors were going to go off… luckily they didn’t.  Below I’d like to share a few things that I like in honor of this splendid day!  Enjoy!

I like…

  • taking notes on pretty paper
  • writing letters to my friends and family (no, not emails, actual letters with a handwritten note and a stamp)
  • creating claymations
  • drawing, painting, crafting, sewing
  • video editing and graphic design
  • working on Chickiedee orders
  • watching my puppies and cat sleep
  • anything furry or sparkly… I just love glitter
  • ice water with lemon and sometime a Sweet n Low packet added in, delicious!
  • spending time at craft shows with my mom
  • spending time with my dad in the mountains
  • hanging with my younger siblings
  • when my husband brings home flowers for no reason at all
  • helping others when they least expect it
  • watching the groom while the bride walks down the aisle
  • showing kindness to people who are rude, and watching their attitude change because of my positive energy
  • being quarky and unique me!

Our 1 Year Wedding Anni | August 9

blogpost_ourwedding

A year ago today my husband and I were married in front of all of our closest family and friends.  It truly was the wedding of our dreams!  We had a 1940’s inspired wedding complete with the Victory Rolls, Handmade French Net Veil (by me), Zoot Suits with hats and chains, and Cymbidium Orchids.  My mother designs silk flower bouquets and arrangements, and she did a fabulous job on our entire wedding!  She didn’t miss a beat.  She did all of the bouquets, boutonnieres, center pieces, cake topper, and corsages.  They were better than I had imagined!  I remember how crazy everything was a few weeks before the wedding.  We had so many last minute details to carry out with such little time.  One of my brother, who was a groomsman, broke his arm skateboarding two weeks before our wedding!  I actually had a feeling something like that was going to happen.  I wasn’t mad at all actually, I thought, “This is another part to our wedding story.”  I was glad that my brother was okay and he was kind enough to get a black cast to match the Zoot Suit Tux!  As it got closer to the big day, it seemed like a dream.  Everything was moving quickly and none of it seemed real – then BAM it was time! I remember arriving at Stonebrook Manor at 5 pm to meet my wedding party and my hair & makeup artist, Katelyn Simkins.  I was completely content and not stressed at all – it surprised me.  The 7pm came fast and it was time to meet both of my parents to walk me down the aisle.  It meant so much to me to have them both there by my side during that special moment.  As I got closer to my husband-to-be, I realized that he was crying!  He never cries!  That meant so much to me.  I just absorbed everything, not to miss a moment.  I can remember it like it was yesterday.  Our first dance was “At Last” and our friend sang it live for us and she was out of this world!  Then we did a little swing dancing, ate some fabulous food and had a grand time!  If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a single thing!  Happy Anni Ron, I love you!
