Thursday Randoms

I hope you had a wonderful and safe 4th or July!  Ron and I hopped around and visited friends and family and ended up back home to watch the fireworks from our backyard.  We have the absolute best view with no crowds.  Colorado put bans on personal fireworks this year and canceled a lot of the city fireworks due to the fires we’ve had recently.  So, we were lucky to still have our city’s display.

I’ve also been busy prepping for the Summer Horseshoe Market, as well as working on a few {diy} projects that I’ll be sharing soon.  Oh!  Don’t forget that there is FREE SHIPPING on all Roblin Tees now through July 14th!  Then this Sunday I’ll be sharing my newest weekly feature, {sunday best}, where I’ll share my Sunday Best Outfit with you.  I’m very excited about this new feature for many reasons; one of the biggest being because you requested to see more of my outfits, and this is what I came up with!

I had better get back to work, but stay cool and remember not to leave your pets in a hot car, as inside temperatures can reach deadly numbers!!!  If you see someone doing so, call the police and tell them right away. ♥r

Ello!  So, over the past couple of months, I’ve had several of you ask for me to share more about myself.  I have to apologize, because at first I thought I was sharing lots about myself, but at a second glance I realized that I wasn’t sharing as much as I really wanted to.  I mean, I share what I do and what I like, but not much about myself (photos, stories, adventures, etc.).  A few of you have asked for me to share some of my outfits, as well.  I’ve been told that you’ve seen glimpses of them, but you’d like to see more.  That sounds fun to me!  So, I’ve decided to start a {sunday best} post which will share just that, my Sunday Best outfit with you.  It’ll be a weekly feature every Sunday sharing one of my outfits, starting this Sunday.

I’ve also been asked to share more about my creative process.  So, I’ll be sure to share more peeks into projects that I’m working on and things like that.  I love this idea, and thank you for helping me realize that I fell into a bit of a rut where I thought I was doing one thing, but really doing another.  You all are so great and I thank you for your continued support in Chickiedee. ♥rl

staying on track

Yesterday was a rough day, but my hubby and mom managed to talk me through it. They both know me so well and always know what to say.  My mom sent me home with a fresh avocado and lime salad to snack on and the hubby surprised me with an impromptu date-night.  I’m truly blessed.  I’m surrounded by sweet people who care about me and what I’m doing.  I was reminded of this last night and I feel back on track this morning.

I have a lot to do and a lot to keep me busy this week.  I have so many lovely new products in my idea book, just waiting to be made, but first I have to finish a few custom and freelance pieces.  I’ll keep you updated and I hope that you can take a moment today to think of what/who you are thankful for. ♥rl

busy week…

I have quite the busy week ahead of me with dog training, coffee dates, crafting, photo class, cooking class, girl nights and going to watch the Mr. play football.  Plus, I have to squeeze in cleaning and grocery shopping.  Sheesh, sometimes I feel that there is not enough time in a week.  I’ll get it all done though!  How about you, what do you have planned this week? ♥rl

Thursday Hellos

Hello and happy Thursday!  I hope the day is treating you well.  I’m so excited for this Sunday’s {studio sunday} feature!!!  Should I tell you who the guest is? Of course I should!  It’s the amazing and talented Jordan Grace Owens.  You may know her by her lovely and warm illustrations and fancy paper dolls.  So, be sure to come back here on Sunday to peek into her studio space.  I can’t wait to share!

On that note, I also can’t wait to share with you what I’ve been working on.  It’s a style/technique that I haven’t done in years, and it’s something that I love to do.  Hint: the pieces will be for sale in the shop and they will be original one-of-a-kind pieces!  Yay!  I think you will like them.

So, what’s new with you?  Any new craft projects that you’ve been working on lately? ♥rl

Quaint Antique Shop

So, as you know, this past weekend my youngest brother graduated High School (yay!) and after the ceremony we were waiting for the restaurant to open, so we found this quaint little antique shop right across the street.  We couldn’t resist!  My dad, like me, loves antique and vintage hunting, and he has quite the collection to prove it.  From early dentist chairs and wheel chairs to 1970’s knick knacks, you name it, he probably has it!  I can’t believe I don’t remember the name of the shop, but I’ll be back and let you know.  It was just full to the gills with tiny treasures… We could have spent all day in there.

My dad loved this old toaster.

And Ron loved these old golf clubs.

It was such a nice little adventure as we all browsed around, dreaming.  Have you been treasure hunting lately? Night! ♥rl

Last weekend was pretty busy. It started off on Saturday with some graduation celebrations and finished strong on Sunday with some Birthday ones, too! Busy busy. I wasn’t able to get much crafting done, but that’s okay. I’ll get lots in this week!

Then, in two weeks the Mr. and I are going to take a DSLR class so we can get to know our Nikon a bit better. I’m so scared of Manual mode, so I think this will be good for us. I really can’t wait!

I’m also very excited because one of my very best friends is coming to town at the end of the month and we get to have a girls night full of food, movies and looking through pictures! I’ll be sure to post photos shortly after.

What are your plans for this week? Do share! ♥RobbieLee
