pet peeves

I thought Monday would be a good day to share a few of my current pet peeves.  They are not in any particular order…

• People who are mean to animals (this includes leaving them in a car on a hot day)
• When people call, you don’t answer, so they call 4 more times

• Bicyclists who don’t go the speed limit and refuse to move over to share the road… the sidewalk is good if you can’t keep up
• Jealousy
• Road rage
• Loud people who interrupt
• Unnecessary Drama… which is all drama
• Telemarketers that continue to call even after you’ve asked them not too.  I understand it’s a job, but really?
• Those who don’t pick up after their dogs in public areas
• Lack of a sense of humor
• An entitled attitude and bossiness
• Rudeness
• Bottom feeders or moochers

This is my current list, what does your current list look like?

Can’t Hardly Wait!

Eeeeeeee… I bought a new planner about a month ago and I can’t hardly wait to use it!  I didn’t buy one at the end of 2010 (I know, I know, crazy!) and then realized in May that I really needed one.  I use my iPhone Calendar and iCal on my Mac, but I really like to hand write things and check them off as I complete them.  I get a real sense of accomplishment.  So, I bought one, but they don’t sell them starting at the beginning of 2011 this time of year, they start at July 2011.  So, I’m patiently waiting to write in this fella.  Isn’t it cute!?  I bought it at Target for $8!  What a steal.

Well, I hope your Monday is going well.  I’m busy working on organizing my studio space and writing Blog Posts for the week… so I better get back to work.

Robblins

My Robblins Series is officially for sale in the shop!  Each 5 in. x 5 in. acrylic on canvas piece is hand-painted by me and they are all my original designs.  I started doodling these little fellas all over the place and then when a friend invited me to hang in one of his art shows earlier this year, I figured that was the perfect opportunity to showcase these.  Now, you can have them too!

It’s Friday!!

Geez, I’m so happy that it’s finally Friday!  This week has been looooooonnnggg.  Saturday will be jam-packed full of bridal shower things and lingerie shenanigans for my friend’s wedding and then Sunday will be spent wakeboarding at the lake!  Yay!

The Smile Booth Props are all made and ready to go, so I’ll show you those soon.  I’m so excited and can’t wait to share everything.  I’m even more excited because the Mr. said the props were “cute!”  This is huge, he does not throw that word around lightly. (smile)

Anyhoo, sorry for the short post, but I have a few other things to tend to before Saturday.  Have a lovely day!

Thanks Kate!

Oh geez, am I one lucky girl! As you already know, I joined The Crafty Peep Swap and received my craft today!!!  I was paired up with Kate from Scientific Culture, and I think it was a perfect match.  We chatted back and forth a bit before creating the perfect items, so that we could get to know each other better.  We found out that we have tons in common, and now I’ve gained a new pen-pal.  This is what I received from her… super cute, right!  If you love these as much as I do, check out her Etsy shop here.

This weeks plan…

Happy Monday!  Yesterday was wonderful, it was mine and my hubby’s 8 year anniversary of being together.  We made great use of our day.  We poked around the house doing a bit more Spring Cleaning and gathered a huge donation pile.  Then he bought me Abracadabra roses and an Aux cable that I’ve been wanting for quite some time (he knows me too well).  I took him to a French Restaurant here in Denver, and after that we went to a late movie to see Limitless.  All in all, it was a great day!

As for this upcoming week, I plan on being very busy.  I have a couple of little meetups, but hopefully I can squeeze coffee in with a friend and lots and lots of crafty time!  I have a few projects in the works that I will be sharing soon.  I plan on creating new one-piece designs and I will get some headbands made and in the shop.  In addition, I will be working on an Easter Shawl for the cold and early Sunrise Services held at Red Rocks in Morrison, CO.  My mom, cousin, myself and sometimes my lil brother all go each year.  This year we may have another friend attend.  My mom, cousin and I are all making our own shawls to keep us extra warm, as some years it tends to snow and the whole event is outside.  I plan on making mine with chickie fabric on the outside and a super soft minky on the inside.  Fingers crossed that it turns out!

So, that’s the plan for this week.  It looks to be busy, but fun!

Happy Birthday Jessica!

Today is one of my best friend’s birthday and she’s 27!  It’s bitter sweet for me because, it will probably be the last one we spend together for a long time.  As you may already know, she’s getting married and moving to Memphis.  I’m thrilled that she’s getting married and taking the next big step, but I will miss her so much.  Jessica and I have been friends since Kindergarten – no joke!  We have so much in common and we can talk for hours on end without ever realizing the time.  Our favorite place to go and chat is, of course, at Starbucks.  We usually sit there for about 4 hours and we never seem to talk about the same thing.

It’s pretty funny because, I’m pretty sure that the Starbucks employees dread the days we come in.  We will stay there until they lock the doors!  At least they get our $$.  I will miss her, but I told her that we can still have our Starbucks dates, just via webcam.  It’s the next best thing!  I’m so happy for her and her beau!

For her birthday, I framed the Starbucks Sign (below) that I took on one of our dates, and gave it to her.  This way she never forgets me.  On that note, Happy Birthday Jessica, I love you, dear!

Monday Spring Clean

So, it is SNOWING here in Denver, which is not a huge surprise for us Coloradoans.  March has been our “blizzard” month for the past several years.  I have to admit that I thought this year might be a bit different though.  The Groundhog actually saw his shadow, so I believed we had a chance for Spring to come early for us.  I’m so naive sometimes. LoL.  I can’t complain though, because we need the moisture.  Especially for all of the fires we’ve been having lately.

I personally love this weather on days that I don’t need to go out for anything.  I thought it would be the perfect day to do some Spring Cleaning!!!  I hope you have a great day and I’ll see you tomorrow.

Sunday Bliss

Today is going to be a busy day, but a good one.  I have family stuff in the morning (Yay!) and then coffee and Kinko’s in the afternoon with my gal pal, Jessica.  We are going to print the invitations that I’ve been working on for her!  So excited!  I hope everything goes smoothly!

Have a wonderful Sunday and I’ll see you tomorrow!
