Oatmeal Peanut Butter Dog Treats
I just love anything homemade and I love when you can make things for your pets, too! Like me, I’m sure your pets are an extremely important part of your family, so why not treat them to something special like this?! Our little Tucker Bean is turning 1 year old on Saturday and I was thinking of inviting everyone and their canine friends to the dog park for a little get-together! Wouldn’t these treats be great in little ‘doggie bags?’ We celebrated Frankie, Angel and Dimitri’s 1 year birthday last year with a shindig at our place, so we thought we’d mix it up this year.
You can find the complete recipe and instructions over at Shared Sugar. My mom and I simply love that site, because they share all sorts of yummies for everyone! When you get a moment, browse their site and see what you can bake up tonight! Enjoy!

{Humpday Tutorial} DIY Candy Bar Wrappers
I just love this DIY Candy Bar Wrapper idea, because this would be a great way to celebrate any event! For example, you could make your own candy wrappers for your wedding favors, bridal shower favors, baby shower favors, birthday favors, ect. As you may already know, my niece was born yesterday, and I think this would be a fabulous way to celebrate her birth. Perhaps I will make some wrappers with her name on them and hand them out to the family when I see them! Sooo cute!
The full instructions and downloadable templates are found at the old Creature Comforts site here! Let me know what you plan to do with these!

Flaunt like a Peacock…
I just love peacock feathers and their colors! Every year I go with my family to the Indian Market and I buy a new peacock feather. I’m going today actually! I have so many feathers and don’t know what to do with them. Maybe I can take a few pointers from the fabulous items below! Oh, and the lady that I buy the feathers from has a peacock farm, if you will, and she just raises them for fun because she loves them. All of the feathers were collected once they fell off of the males, they were not plucked! Ouch! So, no peacocks were harmed.

trick-or-treats on a limb
I saw this in the Women’s Day mag last year and wanted to share it, but couldn’t cuz it was in a magazine. Well, I was super excited to find it today online! It’s a mini tree with mini treat bags! The complete how-to can be found here and it look s super easy! You just need a variety of scrap fabric, a needle and thread and/or a sewing machine, twine and treat to go inside! They don’t give the how-to on the tree, but it looks pretty straight forward… get a dead branch, spray paint it black, and stick it in a pot or vase… be creative! I always love when you find a new way to use those leftover scraps… no wasting here. Enjoy!

When I found these Earwax Swab Halloween Treats at Saucy’s Sprinkles this morning, I just had to share them with all of you! What a creative and fun idea for the kids. I mean, let’s face it, we all know that they’ve taken a taste of their own earwax before… this will just taste better. All you do is pop two marshmallows on each end of a lollipop stick and dip them in butterscotch! Easy, right? The Q-tips box helps the look too! Enjoy!

Humpday Tutorial | Ice Cream Drumsticks
I just love the Instructables website! They share all sorts of DIY projects and there truly is something for everyone! The first time that I heard of them was when my husband and I went to the 2008 Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco. I was immediately attracted to their booth because of their funky business cards and stickers, but quickly learned that they had more to offer. They had an etching machine set up and they etched any design you wanted into your laptop cover, cell phone, iPod, etc. It was so much fun! My husband got his logo on his laptop , while I forgot my iPod Touch at the hotel, so I created a quick design with my name and had it etched into my cell phone. It was great. So, I’ve been following them ever since and recently came across this DIY Ice Cream Drumstick tutorial and knew I had to try it. I’m a little squeezed for time at the moment, because of the upcoming craft show, but thought that I could do a blogpost to archive it for later. Plus, I thought you would like it too! Enjoy!
